Privacy Policy – The Friendly Fairway

1. Who we are

The Friendly Fairway ("we", "us", "our") operates the The Friendly Fairway web and mobile application. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.

2. Data we collect

Account data — name, email address, and authentication credentials.
Profile data — address, date of birth, phone number, golf club membership details, and equipment list.
Usage data — app interactions, competition entries, and session analytics.
Subscription data — billing status and plan information (payment card details are held exclusively by our payment processor, Stripe, and are never stored by us).
Device data — push-notification tokens to deliver in-app alerts.

3. Why we process your data

To create and maintain your account and personalise the experience.
To process competition entries and display results.
To manage your subscription and process payments.
To send you service notifications (you can opt out in Settings).
To comply with legal obligations.

4. How long we keep data

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account all personal data stored in our systems is permanently removed within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

5. Your rights

Access — download a full copy of your data via Settings → Your Data.
Erasure — delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Danger Zone.
Rectification — update your information at any time via your Profile page.
Portability — your data export is provided in machine-readable JSON format.
Objection / restriction — contact us to restrict or object to processing.

6. Third-party services

We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and storage services, and Stripe for payment processing. Each operates under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data to third parties.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
